Promote Peace in your Home

Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil, but those who promote peace have joy. 

Proverbs 12:20

 It is so easy to fall into the trap of following our emotions when hurt or angry. As wives and mothers, women but most of all Christian wives and Christian mothers, Christian women we must strive to promote peace. There are millions of women serving in the roles of wives and mothers but only you serve in that role in your home. We must seek God’s will in our responses to our hurt or to our anger. This verse promises joy to those who promote peace. 

Proverbs 15:1 says – A harsh word stirs up anger but a gentle answer turns away wrath.  We must ask God for His Holy Spirit to provide the strength it will require to obey His word to offer that gentle answer. It will be His job to turn that wrath from you or the situation. He will honor his promise but even if he should harden the heart of the one with whom you struggle like he did pharaoh toward Moses, you must not allow your heart to be hardened.  Only you can control you!

If the joy is not immediate please be steadfast, in time God will give you the desires of your heart and His!
