If this is all I allow you for now, will you still honor me in it?

EQUINE WANDERINGS  I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, or it will not stay near you. Psalms 32:8

I'm not sure I have ever read this verse and seen so many lessons. I need to ask myself, or better yet, ask the Lord which part of this verse do I need most today? Where do you want me to focus my attention, Father?  Do I recognize and praise you knowing you are instructing me? Do I even listen to your instruction and wise counsel? Enjoy more!
"TESTING" SO YOU MAY KNOW!  I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.  Romans 12:1-2

Ha! LOL!  Do you see it in there! As I read God's Word to seek strength in managing this Diabetes I find wisdom right here in these verses that encourage "testing", an area in which I am very weak! Enjoy more!
Links to consider:

I have started a Low Carb High Fat (LCHF) diet that has been working amazingly well. My waking BGL level this morning was 97.  I have lost roughly 12 pound in 8 weeks; I say "roughly" because the primary goal is the blood sugar levels losing weight is a perk!  I learned of these sites from a Facebook group a friend invited me into but these internet links are out there for the whole world and I would like to lead those who visit By Faith Ministries and have an interest in lowering their BGL to this wonderful information.

One of the first videos I viewed was Dr. Jason Fong. I'll let you view and research more on Dr. Fong but I will say the information he shares in his video and his book, The Obesity Code, has put me on a eating path from which I will prayerfully never stray. In one of his videos he compares a diabetic eating carbohydrates as an alcoholic drinking alcohol. That's the comparison I needed. Below is a little poster/flyer I made for myself to continually remind me of the effects of carbohydrates in my body.

I'm sure you can ask to join this Facebook group. REVERSING DIABETES There is an administrator who approves membership to the group but I can't imagine they turn too many folks down as there are over 10,000 members. They don't want you marketing or sharing your agendas which I can appreciate. It does offer a venue to ask other members questions or share successes.

Alcoholism was a plague in our family when I was growing up.  When I saw what it was doing to loved ones I made up my mind that I would not head down that road and when I married and had our first child I pledged that alcoholism would end in this generation. God has been faithful to that commitment and I can say that it is no longer a problem in this family.

When I saw the correlation of carbs to a diabetic as alcohol to an alcoholic something FINALLY clicked! If I wanted alcoholism to end in my family why in the world would I consume it? If I know a food item will raise my blood sugar why in the world would I consume it?

I am now on that same path of commitment for myself in lowering the amount and type of carbs so that I keep my BGL at a very reasonable level.

My hope is to turn this diabetes around and honor God with my body in all areas of health and well being. I pray you will make that same commitment.

Is God encouraging a new way?

My daughter and I recently decided to send encouraging scriptures to one another on our journey of health and wise food decisions.

Her very first verse to me was Deuteronomy 2:3.  At first read I laughed, but the more I pondered on its meaning the more I determined it's time to make very decided changes in a different direction than the one I've been going.

Do you need a change in direction whether physically, emotionally or most definitely spiritually?

Get the Bible App

I am beginning a new "plan" on the You Version Bible App that is motivating me to get back into a healthier eating and living plan.  Too many days of seeking the wrong foods to ease the hurt in my heart from work and church situations. As encouraging as many of my stories might be for others they have also been a reminder of God's love and grace toward me as I return to them over and over as my glorified journal. I'm hoping that determining to learn from and follow many of these suggestions I will build a new pattern that puts me on a path that honors and glorifies God in my eating and life style patterns.  I hope you'll recognize your need to make some life changes and start this plan with me. God bless you By Faith

Father, I asked you to heal my diabetes, like Jesus healed the blind, the lame and the lepers and He raised the dead to life. I know He can do these things and uses them to your glory. I questioned why you might not heal me as you did them. Your word promises that if I ask in faith you would do this for me and I asked in faith and I await my report of no diabetes.

I read of how Jesus after He had done all these miracles in many cities He was arrested, tried and crucified for me...for all of us, and he did it without crying out a defense for Himself. He chose to die for me and although he asked that, "This cup pass from Him." He chose your will, to fulfill your plan, and never called on the legions of angels at His disposal to pull Him out of that worldly mob and protect Him.

Father,  I want this diabetes gone for my own reasons; gluttony, greed, selfishness, laziness! It’s hard and the efforts I make benefit no one else...unless...I allow my efforts to serve others.  I have to stay the course and then share these efforts. I need to draw from the strength of others and hope they may draw strength from what you provide me.

This diabetes can glorify you by you healing me or it can glorify you by my obedience to persevere and share the struggle. I love you, Lord! I thank you for reminding me, again, that even our struggles can be "fruit" in our witness. I love you Father! I praise you Jesus! Please fill me Holy Spirit with you grace and mercy and peace, and allow me fruitful service through it all

In Jesus's Name, Thank you!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

II Corinthians 1:3-4
